12 billion! Another GW-scale photovoltaic project started!

Recently, Hunan Energy Group's 3 million kilowatt photovoltaic composite power generation project (1 million kilowatts in the first phase) was officially started in Hongsibu District, Wuzhong City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

Hunan Energy Investment Group was officially established in Changsha on March 27 this year. On May 16, the first batch of 1 million kilowatt photovoltaic projects of the Ningxia Hongsibao District New Energy Base under the group was successfully approved by the Wuzhong Municipal Development and Reform Commission, and was implemented by its wholly-owned subsidiary Hunan Investment New Energy (Ningxia) Co., Ltd.

It is understood that the total investment of the new energy base is as high as 12 billion yuan, with a total planned installed capacity of 3 million kilowatts. The first phase of the 1 million kilowatt project is expected to start construction within the year. After the project is put into operation, it will use efficient transmission channels such as the Ningxiang UHV DC project to stably transmit green electricity to Hunan, and the annual power generation is expected to reach 1.97 billion kilowatt-hours.

Hunan Energy Group is a provincial platform for comprehensive energy investment, construction and operation. It was established on July 18, 1992 and is headquartered in Changsha, Hunan. The group is mainly engaged in power generation, transmission, and power supply, covering three major sectors: energy industry, strategic emerging industries, and financial investment business. Hunan Energy Group evolved from Hunan Economic Construction Investment Company, and after several reforms and reorganizations, it was officially established in Changsha on March 27, 2024. The group is mainly established by Hunan Xiangtou Holding Group Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of 30 billion yuan.

As a provincial platform for comprehensive energy investment, construction and operation in Hunan Province, Hunan Energy Group will cooperate on major energy projects within and outside the province on behalf of Hunan Province. According to the plan, Hunan Energy Group will make large-scale investments in the energy field in the next few years to promote the rapid development of the energy industry.
